About you and your organisation

This project is open to CBN member organisations in the voluntary sector. Please confirm your organisation's status.

This project has a particular focus on bereaved young people aged 11-25. Please briefly describe your typical service offer to this age group. The elements we are interested in include
  • How you assess bereaved young people’s needs
  • The typical number of 1:1 support sessions
  • Who supports the young person in these sessions (volunteer/paid; trained/professionally qualified)
  • If you offer support in a closed peer group, and average number of sessions
  • Social/remembrance events
  • Liaison with school etc
Don’t worry if you don’t do all these things – this wouldn’t disqualify your service from taking part.

About taking part in this project

We will need participating services to begin and complete work with a minimum number of new young people aged 11-25 over the course of 12 months. That means completing assessment questionnaires, working with the young person and completing post-support questionnaires within a month of support ending. The 12 months can start between January and April 2025.

We need a minimum number to make sure that our national aggregated database is big enough. However, until we have an overall picture of which services have come forward, we don't know what the minimum number per service will be. We may need to prioritise services that can commit to supporting at least 50 young people, but please consider putting in this EOI even if your minimum number of young people is lower than this.

Thank you so much for your interest in joining the project. Please click 'Submit' below to send us your application by 5pm on Thursday 31st October.

We will be back in touch in early November to let you know the outcome.
